Bickerline River Trips from South Quay near Worcester Cathedral, River Severn Cruises. Bickerline provides leisure trips by boat from the South Quay in the heart of historic Worcester. We invite you to come aboard our vessel, the 'Marianne', to take a pleasant and relaxing scenic river trip on the River Severn at Worcester. Trips depart every hour throughout the day and begin near the Cathedral in the city centre. Educational trips and evening pleasure cruises are available by prior arrangement. The Marianne is a steel hulled tug boat originally from Ireland (see our history page for more info.).
Fully loaded she can carry 88 passengers plus 2 crew members (the captain and first mate). There is a covered saloon and large open outdoor seating area suitable for all weathers! The boat is fully licensed by the Marine Safety Agency and British Waterways. On board there is a bar serving alcohol, hot drinks, snacks and soft drinks. A full commentary of your journey can be supplied if required, conveyed through our speaker system. We also have a toilet on board and are proud to offer disabled access. The Marianne is 54 foot long and sits 5 foot under the water. She is powered by a single screwed engine that is powerful enough to pull (or 'tug') most seagoing vessels. Her average speed on the River Severn is a leisurely 6 knots though the engine could go much faster.
